about

Inspired by George Orwell's "Nineteen Eighty Four", this track was chosen to be reminiscent of 90s grunge, with bands like Nirvana and Silverchair.

Conveying the angst, frustration and industrial dystopia of the novel, this second piece expands on the thematic connection between the songs, the classic texts and the drama that is unfolding with the characters lives as the series progresses.

lyrics

WATCHING

Do I die? Or do I
break, and be part of this world?
Am I secure in my own mind?

You don’t know me. I am
In your crowd with you.
We hide, but are so easy to find

CHORUS
Don’t think. Don’t act. Just be.
He is watching.
Don’t show them what you feel.
Always watching
Hide your Body. Hide your soul. Hide your mind.
He is watching.

They find us hid in our own world
And they close in.
Innocent we lay here

No escape from this world
That’s what we know now
I won’t; will you betray me?

CHORUS
Don’t think. Don’t act. Just be.
He is watching.
Don’t show them what you feel.
Always watching
Hide your Body. Hide your soul. Hide your mind.
No!

(guitar solo)

CHORUS
Don’t think. Don’t act. Just be.
He is watching.
Don’t show them what you feel.
Always watching
Hide your Body. Hide your soul. Hide your mind.
He is watching.
